I’m writing this on my new MacBook Neo. Struggling to do so actually, because the room I’m in is dark, the keyboard isn’t backlit, and I can’t touch type. I may have underestimated what the lack of backlit keyboard would mean for me, but honestly I’ve had learning to touch type as a goal for a while now. I even have a keybr account I set up awhile ago. Time to get back to those lessons. Other than that though I’m really pleased with the Neo.

I’ve got the women’s college basketball tournament on the TV, waiting for the Tiger’s to tip off their second round game. I entered a bracket pool created by some Minneapolis locals to raise money for rent for people impacted by the ICE occupation. Right now I’m tied with two others in the pool for first place. I’ve picked the Tigers to go all the way, though I’m not entirely convinced they can do it. Still, March Madness is one of my favorite sporting events of the year.

I’m slipping on some of my goals already. Not failing to meet them, but more that I’m not even following through on my plans. Which, to be honest, is kind of a thing for me. The Peloton goal is going well. Probably because I had already developed the habit of three rides per week and increasing the intensity of those rides while mixing in other workouts has been relatively easy. The others though, I’m struggling to make any progress on.

I’ve managed to play one of the board games in my 4 x 10 challenge once. I haven’t written a single line of AT proto code. I need to do better. I tend to default to video games, reading books, or scrolling social media in my downtime. I need to build in some structure around my other goals, similar to my Peloton goals. Scheduling board game time, scheduling AT proto time.

I mentioned last week that I was going to change my ride routine to Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and that worked out really well. I rode the bike three times—two 30-minute standard rides, and one 45-minute Power Zone Endurance ride. It’s been awhile since my last 45-minute ride and it felt good to ride for that long again. I filled out the week two stretching workouts and two mediation sessions. I reached 80 straight days in the 100 Day challenge. Just 20 days to go.

Things I enjoyed this week
